In my last video I spotlighted Damnation (of Adam Blessing), so this time I'm moving us toward Salvation.
Salvation were based in San Francisco and released two albums on ABC Records, both in 1968. Although none of their records ever made the charts, they enjoyed a sort of "cult" status at the fringes of the world of SF hippie rock. To date, none of their material has made it to compact disc.
Here are three of the best songs from their self-titled debut album:
1) "Love Comes in Funny Packages"
2) "She Said Yeah"
3) "What Does an Indian Look Like"
I found my copy of the Salvation album in a vintage shop in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
